Here I Go

Alla Reese - The Olympians

A few years ago, I started thinking about an idea. Now, I’m perfectly capable of keeping my ideas to myself…most of the time. But this one had been niggling at me for so long, that I decided to do something about it, so I began to write. It went pretty well for a while, but there was one problem. Writing is a solitary activity, and I’m just not a solitary person. Naturally, I felt the need to share what I was writing with those nearest and dearest to me. Poor things! Can you imagine your wife or your mother (I only subjected my family to this) reading aloud to you and then asking “What do you think?” on a regular basis? They were incredibly gracious, providing encouragement and suggestions, but it wasn’t at all sustainable.

That’s where you come in. It’s a simple enough plan. I will write, and you will read and tell me what you think. I can’t promise that I will use every suggestion you make, but I can promise to take what you say seriously and use the suggestions that make sense to me. I can also promise to ignore rude, mean, or obnoxious comments or suggestions, but that should go without saying, right?

I hope you will join me in this adventure. I hope you enjoy and tell your friends. So, here I go.
